Summary
Kimberly Bleasers essay "Rituals of memory" talked about Bleasers mixed ancestry shaped her to the person she is. The big example she used to describe relationships, family, and community was her friends curly hair and how they were both tangled and looped together. what she really treasured was her memories of story telling. A memory she truly treasured was on Memorial Day up in the graveyards in Mahnomen and NayTahWaush were the went with her father and the legionnaire's to salute the veterans and the Indian burial grounds. The important thing she treasured was both of her origins were together that day, no fights between them, they were there to just remember the ones that lived there.

It is in the form of a paragraph written in a shorter version of the story, in my own words.
3. What piece of advice would you give someone writing a summary for the first time? Why?
Make sure you know what the story is talking about, re read the story if you have to. Write in your own words or at least don't copy word from word and go over and reread for any punctuation errors or simple mistakes.
